Detective Elisa Maza - Friend of the gargoyles. Her father was a cop. She's the oldest of two other siblings, a brother and a sister. While investigating the Eyrie Building, she comes across Goliath and his clan of gargoyles. Cop instinct cuing her distrust of Xanatos, she befriends them. Turns out she was right when she suspected the multi-millionaire was duping these creatures.... She found the Clan a new home in the clock tower her police station resided in. The hoops she's jumped and the sacrifices she's made for the clan are rarely recognized...

Joe Astor - Head of the Viper team, who've come to New York to build a new Viper. From day one, he's instantly attracted to Elisa and she to him. He sees a fellow soul in pain, and seeks to comfort her...

Frankie Walters - A member of the Viper team and one of Joe's close friends, Frankie Walters also dabbles in the supernatural. Together with Haile O'Connor, they are beginning white wizards. What they discover together will help in the battle against Leviticus and the Dark Ones.

Haile O'Connor - First introduced in the Marvel Comics, Dr. Haile O'Connor is the resident coroner of the 23rd Precinct. Turns out he also dabbles in superstitions and studying the supernatural. You never know, if your body suddenly rises off the autopsy table, one needs to be prepared for anything.

Matt Bluestone - Elisa's partner and friend of the gargoyles (especially a particular clan leader's daughter).

Sarah Shepherd - Matt's new partner while the Viper Team is in town and Matt is recovering from his injuries. She's a rookie, but she's bright and knows more about Matt than he realizes.

Vipra - Vipra was adopted by human parents in the aftermath of World War II. After each passed away from old age, Vipra found a living as a professional thief, which eventually caught the eyes of the most powerful criminal organization out there, The Outfit (the criminal organization Joe and the Viper team are in New York to defeat). After The Egg, she is adopted by the clan. Reunited with her own kind, will she give up her criminal life and learn to work with the clan and the law?

Mysterious Figure - This individual showed up at the end of The Egg and seems to know both Joe and Elisa. (If you know who he is, good on you, because he plans to be keeping a closer eye on the team.) He also knows Matt's new partner, Sarah Shepherd (see above).
