Defenders of the night....

Before Oberon's Children, there was a much older race.... The world was in utter darkness. Demons ruled. Until one creature, Gargola, assembled some followers to usurp the darker creatures, trapping them in another dimension. This paved the way for creatures of light to come into play - Oberon and his "children," gargoyles, and humans... The Three Races.

In time the Fourth Race was forgotten... The Age of Gargoyles came and went. Humans took over.

Now, Oberon has gathered his Children back to Avalon at the most inopportune time... After a thousand years, one of the dark lords, calling himself Leviticus, has laid in wait for the creatures of magic to leave this world.

In a time without magic, he makes his move on the isle city of the west (Manhattan). What he didn't count on was...

And the alliance he and his spies tried to break up has been renewed by a spirited Detective (who just so happens to be one of the reincarnated shards of Gargola's soul, known as a Guardian).
